Night of 4/30 and day of 5/1

Here is David at the doors of the National Theater for the performance of Othello.  It was a modern ballet and it was wonderful.  The theater is incredible with all seats being great.
The next group of pics are from my ride this morning.

This is the Charles Bridge, the first and most famous.  It was built to last 1000 years and it is now over 600.

Ok, I am going to sign off now.  Will see and or talk with you all soon.
Sbohem,
Rose & David

Sunday Morning

Well, Rose went out at 6am to ride the streets of Prague before anyone was awake.  So I thought I would add a few posts and pics to our blog. We spent yesterday walking through various parts of the castle and the surrounding woods and gardens which were just lovely.

We seemed to stop often at little cafes in the castle area for an espresso (and cake for me). Here is one of the tables with blankets on the chairs in case you are cold and delicate plants on each table.

One of the more interesting sights (beyond the doors that fascinated Rose) was a hidden moat outside the castle.  They have it lite so you can see clearly as you walk through.  The bricks almost seemed laced and it felt as though we were walking through the inside of a basket (you would have enjoyed this, Jo Ann).

We spent most of our time away from the crowds and found some great paths through the woods and the little towns surround the castle and a sculpture carved into the side of a hill with a face that looked similar to mine...with even all the heavy bags under my eyes.  All I need is a beard...

Last night we went to a ballet, Othello, with music by Leos Janacek at the National Theater, which was breathtaking...we bought great seats (and inexpensive compared to New York)...pics will follow.
